Today we marked the second Sunday before Advent, reflecting on the Matthew 25:14-30 passage. The key message for the week being to reflect on our unique gifts, talents, resources and finances, that we are being called to use in these times, in our communities of Gorse Hill and Ferndale. There is much work to be done in sharing the gift of the gospel message to those outside of our churches — the disillusioned, disappointed and the de-churched. A further encouragement is gifted to us in the hymn, Take My Life And Let Me Be…
“Take my silver and my gold;
not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
every power as thou shalt choose”
