Dear all,
I am writing to say a very big thank you to you and the entire church community for the beautiful pairs of hearts that were crafted and sent to me for the patients and relatives at the Adult Intensive Care Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital. The last year had been a challenging and unprecedented time for us all but perhaps none more so than for the patients who have found themselves critically unwell, in hospital, with Covid-19 and for their relatives who have been unable to visit and be by their bedside. In these times we were able to provide some small comfort by placing one of the hearts with the patient and the other to their relative in the knowledge that they shared this. Relatives and patients have been extremely grateful for this gesture and I would like to extend their and our thanks for the time you have taken to create and donate these. It has made the world of difference to have the kind support from you and the community.
